Literacy advice, information and tools to help your learner with reading, spelling and writing. Our Clients Our literacy programme, books, and resources have been made to be used by a wide variety of people. This is to help the most learners we can with all aspects of literacy, reading, writing, and spelling. Caregivers Our revised programme has been made much easier for anyone to use. This is especially important for parents, grandparents, foster parents, and other caregivers without any teaching experience. The resources are used for remedial help by caregivers for learners after school, or as part of a home schooling programme. Tutors Many tutors use our programme as part of their tutoring methods. They often help learners who have dyslexia and other specific learning disabilities (SLD). This includes tutors from LDANZ (Learning Disabilities Association of New Zealand), and SPELD NZ (formally known as The Dyslexia Association of New Zealand). Other tutors use our resources to help with teaching adult literacy. Teachers Teachers have been using the original Simplistikit programme for many years. It is especially useful for learners who need extra help that are struggling within the normal classroom teaching environment. The programme has also been used by distance learning teachers with their students. Schools Our resources are used in many schools, including primary and intermediate schools, and special schools. Language schools also use our resources to help teach English as a second language, (ESOL).
